You'll learn about the architecture of the portal and how to distribute ownership and management of areas within it. You'll also learn how to harness the image library for making the portal more visually engaging. You'll uncover best practices around user-centred design and the variety of tools and customizations Hornbill offers, to provide access to resources, support, and self-help for meaningful self-service.

Hornbill administrators who are looking for guidance in revamping their employee portal, or some tips on how to make their existing portal more engaging.




What do I need to know beforehand?


You'll need some basic Hornbill administration and configuration experience. We'll be working in a dedicated academy environment so you won't be interfering with your instance.




What will I get from this session?


By the end of this session, you will be able to:


  • - Explain how the portal is structured by domains, domain categories, and pages.
  • - Identify the Roles and settings required for applying customizations and administering the portal.
  • - Build and organize new portal pages with the Page Manager and customize existing ones with the Page designer tool.
  • - Apply best practices around user-centred design.
